The Lunacy of Anti-Japanese Racism
Unmasking “Japan’s Holocaust”
By Moteki Hiromichi
No.2: Chapter 1: The Author’s Surprising View of Japan
July 25, 2025

“According to extensive research, Japan committed the horrifying mass murder of at least 30 million from 1927 through 1945, giving it eighteen years to exterminate ‘inferior people’.” (Japan’s Holocaust, p. 190)

Rigg, allegedly a scholar, states this ghastly, outrageous nonsense in his book, Japan’s Holocaust.

This statement emerged from the swamp that is his contemptuous, thoroughly biased and racist view of Japan. From his book again, his sophomoric view of Japan:

“Japan’s pathetic solipsism that they were the direct descendant of the gods and ruled by one of them fostered an extreme egotism that helped create an unforgiving citizenry willing to commit some of the most grotesque atrocities any modern power has ever performed precisely because they believed they had divine permission to do so.” (Japan’s Holocaust, p. 25)

These lines show that alleged scholar Rigg is ignorant of the fact that on February 13, 1919, at the Paris Peace Conference, the representative from Japan made the world’s first “proposal to abolish racial discrimination.” While the majority of delegates voted in favor, 11 for with 5 against, Conference Chairman US President Woodrow Wilson ignored this vote, claiming that an unanimous vote was necessary.

Nonetheless, Japan continued to fight for the abolishment of racial discrimination. On November 6, 1943, a joint declaration was adopted at the Greater East Asiatic Nations Conference, attended by six independent Asian countries and the Provisional Government of India. In paragraph 5, clearly stated is the goal of abolition of racial discrimination. Also well-known, Sugihara Chiune saved 6,000 Jews from Nazi tyranny. Sugihara was not the only Japanese who saved Jews: Major General Higuchi Kiichiro saved 20,000 Jewish refugees. In contrast to Rigg’s warped view of Japan as a racist country, Japan in fact worked to end racism. Not only is Rigg’s racist view of Japan meritless but extremely repulsive.
