The Lunacy of Anti-Japanese Racism
Unmasking “Japan’s Holocaust”

No.1: Preface

A book of fantasy, titled Japan’s Holocaust, was published in March 2024 in America. It claims that Japan killed 30 million civilians–more people than in the Nazi Holocaust, in which 11.7 million people were killed.
Who is author Bryan Mark Rigg? He has an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and “volunteered” in the Israel Defense Force. He taught history at a military college in the United States and at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Moreover, Rigg’s 446-page book contains 1,564 notes, giving it the appearance of an academic text. So, one cannot dismiss his book as just another crank book.
Rigg dwells in extremely biased and racist views about the Japanese, from which he apparently drew upon to write his book of fantasy. In response, I wrote a book that completely exposed his clumsy and racist book.
Rigg is way off base with his “facts.” For example, from his book, page 163:
“According to some research, only 10% of the estimated 200,000 “Comfort Women” survived their harrowing ordeals. Many perished due to internal bleeding, within combat zones, or as a result of diseases, while others were ruthlessly murdered by their perpetrators once they were deemed no longer useful.”
He writes as if Japan at the time was a lawless, prehistoric, criminal society.
Of course, the facts say otherwise. Alleged murderers of comfort women would have definitely been condemned to death by a court-martial. Not a single case of a forcibly recruited comfort woman has been confirmed by documentation or eyewitness. As Professor Ramseyer of Harvard Law School stated in his academic papers, including “Contracting for Sex in the Pacific War” (2020), comfort women engaged in legal prostitution, signed consensual contracts with brokers and were given a large advance before the start of their contracts. “Prisoner Interrogation Records” of the US Army India-Burma Theater Intelligence Division, No. 49 states in the Preface, ““Comfort [women]” were nothing more than prostitutes” and further on, “The contract they signed bound them to Army regulations and to work for the “house master” for a period of from six months to a year depending on the family debt for which they were advanced.” Rigg, though, is completely ignorant of these facts.
I will show how Rigg arrives at his ludicrous “30 million murders” by providing evidence and analysis throughout my book, chapter by chapter.
