Letter to the Honorable Alphons Hamer, regarding a Dutch Parliament resolution
On November 20 of this year, the Dutch Parliament passed a resolution denouncing Japan for past actions in connection with the so-called comfort women. We must state our objections to this resolution in the strongest possible terms. Because as we have been repeatedly stating, it is not based on any historical fact. Therefore, we Society sent a letter to H. E. Ambassador Alphons Hamer, explaining the “truth” and asking to make every best effort not only to know the historical fact but also to protect honor of the Dutch Parliament.
