Alliance for Truth about Comfort Women issued a rebuttal to the open letter signed by 187 American scholars and published in The Asia-Pacific Journal: Japan Focus on May 5, 2015 as bellow:

To the 187 scholars and their followers who publicized their open letter on May 5, 2015, which was followed by an updated version two days later:
We are the members of the Alliance for Truth about Comfort Women and our purpose is to pursue the facts concerning the comfort women and to protect honor of the nation, including its ancestors and descendants, who have been defamed by the fabricated stories concerning the “comfort women”.
The purpose of this “Response to the updated version of the Open Letter”

is to categorically rebut the Open Letter and to point out the absolute facts concerning the comfort women to the people of the world.
Our rebuttal will consist of the following eight points:
1. To point out defects in the logic of the Open Letter;
2. To point out serious misunderstandings concerning the true nature of the comfort women;
3. To present counterevidence against the Open Letter as a whole;
4. To criticize the lack of consideration of a universal issue, coping with sexual impulses of soldiers, while merely chastising Japan’s past actions;
5. To highlight the manner in which those with anti-Japan hostility smear those with a differing historical view point as “revisionist”, a manner which is similar to the way in which people lambasted others who espoused the heliocentric theory while clinging to the geocentric theory;
6. To refute the outrageous stories concerning the so-called Nanjing Massacre;
7. To point out that the stories concerning the Yasukuni controversy are false;
8. To refer to our first rebuttal against the original Open Letter.
Our rebuttal against the Open Letter is also open to all including members of the global mass media.
We look forward to hearing your remarks against our rebuttal to the Open Letter. The media and those who are concerned about the issue are also looking forward to hearing from you.
