ALLIANCE FOR TRUTH ABOUT COMFORT WOMEN
A Report on the Meeting Held on August 16th and 17th by the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

October 16, 2018

On October 9, the Alliance for Truth about Comfort Women held a meeting to report on the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and its Recommendation to the Japanese government at the House of Councilor Members’ Conference Room.

On August 30, the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination released its concluding observations as well as recommendations to the Japanese government. We find it ironic, and extremely disappointing, that a committee entrusted with protecting human rights is instead fostering racial hostility against the people of Japan and intruding on their human rights.

The recommendations are exceedingly biased, and threaten to destroy the very fabric of the Japanese nation. Thus, all attendees unanimously supported the Open Letter of Protest to the Chairman of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and adopted the Resolution, as written below.
